Ministry is about serving people and Pastor Phillips has been ordained and called for this service. He holds a BS in Law from Michigan State University, a teaching credential through National University, and a Masters Degree in Theology from the California University of Theology. His passion is leading people to Jesus Christ through witnessing and teaching Home Bible Studies. He and his wife Tamika have been married for 22 years and have three children. 

 

His wife Tamika studied at West Virginia University and specializes in finance. She desires to see God's people blessed through home ownership and financial stability. Upon hearing the call of God to move to Los Angeles, the Phillips' relocated their family from Detroit, MI to Los Angeles in 2009. They began a Friday night Bible Study and through teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the group quickly grew to 10 people. Soon afterwards, they started a church at Vista School in Cheviot Hills. Many have been water baptized, filled with the precious gift of God's Spirit, and continue to live victoriously.
